Juan Prophet Organization was created in late 1999. The premise being to create all styles of music while incorporating all manners of instruments and a rotating lineup of musicians. The four core members (pictured above) are as diverse as the soundscape they create. Each member has a unique musical background and all are multi-instrumentalists. Fiercely independent, the band records all their albums at their home studio "Casa De Juan", which started in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The band now resides in Portland, Oregon.

Juan Prophet Organization has scored independent film, composed and performed in live theatre, made their own music videos, and has spent many months on the road doing tours that took them from the Knitting Factory in New York to the Rockit Room in San Francisco. They have shared the stage with many great acts like Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Ahleuchatistas, Skeleton Key, and 2 Foot Yard.
